Character Study- Neil

When Neil was first shown he was a bubbly young boy who had a broad imagination and a bit of dreamer. At 7 years old he was already a deep thinker but said a few questionable things which showed when he was older. As he grew up a change in character was noticable he seemed more serious, less imaginative and more simpler personality which was a quite significant change since 7up. At the age of 21 he was already struggling financially and finding it hard seeking a job, he seemed to be a bit depressed with his life and relied mostly on government support. By the time he was 28 he was traveling around Scotland finding place to stay still looking to government for shelter and food. I thought Neil was a strange character especially when he claimed he thought he was going mad, i think his thoughts were turning him mad and he was a bit lonely. I also think he made himself feel a bit secluded from society which made him feel a bit crazy. I think as he grew older and moved to different place where they had more community he started to feel acceptable and his confidence grew a tiny bit, especially when he moved back to London and was working in politics he stated himself that she was even shocked but how far he had come. I am quite happy for Neil because he seems like he is comfortable at where his life is and he has more self confidence in himself.
